W E L C O M E 2025 MAY GREETINGS Herndon Woman's Club Celebrating 85 Years of Community Service The Herndon Woman's Club is an established nonprofit organization. This diverse group of women are involved in the local community through volunteer service. Members continually search for creative ways to support the community through arts, education, promoting healthy lifestyles, preserving natural resources, and encouraging civic involvement in the community and beyond. Fundraisers are an important way to help support the local community. Join Us
We invite anyone interested in the issues and topics we focus our efforts on to join. Our members have many common interests and work together to further our cause. Visitors welcome to participate in a monthly meeting to see first-hand what we are all about. Prospective members should attend two meeting before making the commitment to officially join the club. To join, we need a completed application and membership dues for the first year. Our club year runs from September - June, although you can join at any time. Club dues are $40 per year. GFWC Woman's Club Mission
The General Federation of Women's Clubs is an international women's organization dedicated to community improvements by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. Motto: Unity in Diversity The Herndon Woman's Club is also affiliated with GFWC Virginia and GFWC Virginia - Northern District. DID YOU KNOW? In 1991, the Herndon Woman's Club placed a marker and planted a tree at Runnymede Park to commemorate the Sister City partnership between the Town of Herndon and Runnymede, England. In the fall of 2020, the Town of Herndon improved visibility of the stone and tree at Runnymede Park by moving back the fence behind the marker and established a nice bed around it. We are working with Friends of Runnymede Park to plant native flowers in the new bed to further enhance the stone's placement. October 5, 2021 marked the 20th anniversary of when this historic stone was dedicated to the park.
