She Believes in Me (SBIM) was founded in 2018 by a school counselor and a group of teachers and social workers in Herndon, Virginia. These professionals recognized an urgent and growing need to provide support to young girls in the community, many of who were suffering as a result of poverty and trauma. Through the years it has been realized that there is a deeper need to help the girls’ whole family unit within the community.
SBIM is primarily a volunteer-run, dedicated group of volunteers who truly believe that together they have the power to make a change. Here is to strong women. May we know them. May we be them.
