HOME LIFE – STUDENT SNACK PACKS

Each year, HWC departments and committees make plans early to select various ways to help the community. Small budgets are set aside for some activities and donations from inside and outside HWC are often required to insure a successful outcome.

The Home Life Department, as well as other organizations in our area, wanted to assist a school with a high number of kids on the Free and Reduced lunch program in a school. This year, HWC reached out to Clearview Elementary and made plans to pack food bags. Following a trip to Sam’s Club to purchase items, 240 bags were filled. Each bag contained two of each breakfast, lunch and dinner items plus two snacks and juice boxes. - Bags for three weekend’s worth of food for 80 kids were taken to Clearview to provide kids in need with meals over a weekend.
